THE MISSION:
We want to provide graduating high school seniors and current college students an opportunity to be involved in meaningful student ministry. We want to see you making a difference in this generation. We believe in you and we hope to see you ministering at Bethesda and elsewhere for years to come.
THE OPPORTUNITIES
You have to seize an opportunity before you can ever fulfill it. Fulfilling opportunities leads to feelings of satisfaction and they allow you to reach your potential. As an EDGE intern you should expect to be presented with opportunities, like these:
Learn about time management, teamwork, leadership, problem solving, etc
Deepen your personal relationship with God
Learn the basics of youth ministry
Minister and have fun with teenagers
Be a part of a creative team
Become a servant leader
See your ideas developed and implemented in meaningful ways

Facility Maintenance & Development: direct involvement with the YH & lounge
Message Research & Development: sermon prep, creative team

Mission:Fort Worth Leadership Team
Community Outreach: door to door evangelism and servanthood
Grunt Work: no other way to say it, just be ready to roll up your sleeves
PERKS:
Your Mission Fort Worth bill is paid in full ($109 value)
Involvement in the setup of Wednesday night services
Involvement in our weekly creative meeting
Involvement in a weekly training class taught by Josh and/or Shawn

Practical Ministries Certification

Admittance into one leaders only meeting at youth camp if you are interested

REQUIREMENTS:
EDGE Youth Ministries is dedicated to reaching our community with the good news of Christ. Therefore, our entire staff must uphold the highest standards of Christian character and excellence. These are qualifications all EDGE interns must meet.
You must have a personal commitment to the Lord Jesus Christ
You must be a graduating senior or a current college student
You must commit to all requirements listed in the application
You must commit to serve at least one day per week
You must keep your home life in order
You must love and desire to work with youth
You must maintain a Christ like attitude and a servant’s heart
You must manage your time and complete tasks on time
You must be open to critique and discipline
You must faithfully tithe according to Malachi 3:10
You must faithfully attend Bethesda Community Church
You must avoid illicit drugs, alcohol, tobacco, profanity, fighting, pornography, gossip and all other activities unsuitable for a child of God
SCHEDULE
June 10th thru August 6th. We need you to commit to serving from 1pm-5pm either Wednesday or Thursday of every week. You can do both if you want.
We do ask that you miss no more than one week during the summer. Please notify us ahead of time if you know you will miss. You will not be asked to serve the week of youth camp, June 24,25 (that does not count as your one allowed absence).
